Billy Nemenz found dead

I'm still reeling from the news that Bill Nemenz' wife found him dead at home yesterday afternoon. Billy was larger than life and a passionate sales person. Howard Nemenz who managed WTQR for many years is his Uncle and Bob Nemenz who many know from his having an advertising agency, was Billy's cousin. Billy was only in his early 40's and they think it was either an aneurism or his heart. He will be missed by many people. I will always remember him jiving through the radio station singing Bob Dylan songs. He worked for 94.5 The Rock Alternative, then 100.3 The Buzzard, then Talk 101, where he became the Sales Manager. He left 101 and nobody really knows what he's been doing since then. I'm so sad to hear this news and will remember him for the fiesty, scrappy guy he was, and for being my Friend. Arrangements are pending and I haven't yet heard about the funeral or memorial service. God speed, Billy.

Its just awful news. I heard it today and it breaks my heart. He was a great rep, and person who had alot of passion and a lot of fight in him, in the true Nemenz style. Will never forget him and working with him. Prayers and deepest thoughts go out to his family. So traggic to loose someone so young. Thinking about the Nemenz Family and their loss.

I always called him Radio Royalty ...... he laughed ...... but he was. It was a sad day Wednesday ..... Memorial is set for Monday .... Danny Jefferson is involved .... he has "taken care" of quite a few of Radio's Fallen from the Triad ........ Godspeed Billy ...... I'll miss your Humble Smile.

Was by accident that I found this sad news Billy was a grade school east 37th st friend. My deepest sympathy to his wife & family we all left the erie pa neighborhood a long time ago but it can easily be said that Billy was agood guy the only one patient enough to teach us girls how to play a decent game of baseball and that was no easy task i sincerely and with deep sympathy deb "barbich" apthorpi

So very sorry that you had to find out in such a shocking way. I still find myself thinking about him and missing his smile.
