Stumbled across Billy The Kidd and Candice Lopez on Mix 102.9 this morning and I thought they sounded great! I liked Billy The Kidd on KISS FM and I’m glad he’s back on the air…on a station with better music in my opinion…hehe! 🙂
 
Better music? Mix is still playing artists that you can also hear on Kiss and Star. Wish it would go the Modern AC direction instead but I guess iHeart likes having 3 stations almost sounding the same.

Yes, better music. Although there are a lot of similarities, I don’t really care for the new Top 40 music that is being released these days. It used to be that CHR would add more alternative, dance or rap/hip hop titles — whatever was popular at the time. Nowadays, it seems like they add a whole bunch of crap, depending on what’s trending on TikTok and other social media. I guess if that’s what the kids want, but I think that direction is killing the format and has led it to where it is now.

Better music? Yeah, I definitely think so! But that’s just my opinion. You’re entitled to yours.

I listened to KDMX for a little bit on Memorial Day weekend when it was still 102.9 Now. They played some songs in row that sounded like it was a Modern AC.

iHeart does a good job with KTCZ in Minneapolis. It would be great if there was something like that here in DFW.
