As in the past, the Steering Committee of the Binghamton Broadcasters Reunion is soliciting nominees for our award categories.
The primary awards are as follows:
Broadcaster of the Year: Someone still involved in broadcasting in the market, who makes a significant contribution to broadcasting and to the community.
Living Legend: Preferably someone who has been involved in Binghamton Broadcasting for a significant period of time. This person can be in or out of the market.
Special Achievement Award: This is our catch-all category, and is designed to acknowledge any broadcaster for any reason. There may be several versions, and several recipients of this award.
For an example of past award winners, check out the website, www.binghamtonbroadcastersreunion.com
Award nominees can be in any category of broadcasting: sales, on-air, engineering, management and office.
If you have a suggestion or someone you'd like to nominate, drop at e-mail to [email protected]
The 2011 Binghamton Broadcasters Reunion is slated for September 24th at the Binghamton Regency Hotel (now known as the Binghamton Riverwalk Hotel)
The Reunion is free, and open to all current and former Binghamton Broadcasters and friends.
The event consists of an optional buffet, cocktail hour, and awards program.
As in the past, everyone who comes to the reunion will be given a free souvenir.
This year everyone who attends will receive a free CD consisting of old and new pictures of Binghamton Broadcast People, studios, vehicles and miscellaneous items.
If you'd like to share some of your photos, get them to us, and we'll do the rest.
If you're planning on attending, drop an e-mail to [email protected]. No commitment is necessary. Let us know if you're bringing a guest and/or participating in the optional buffet.
