Binghamton Broadcasters Reunion Buffet Info and Attendance Update

The Binghamton Broadcasters Reunion is set to happen this year, on Saturday, September 24, 2010 at the Binghamton Riverwalk (formerly the Regency) Hotel on W. Water Street in Binghamton.

The evening consist of an optional buffet, cocktail hour and awards presentation.

The buffet will start at 530pm.

For those choosing not to participate in the buffet, the cocktail hour will start at 630pm, with the program to follow.

All are welcome. The Binghamton Broadcasters Reunion is a free event, open to current and former Binghamton Broadcasters, Spouses and friends.

Let us know if you are planning to attend the 2011 Reunion, whether or not you are participating in the reunion.

The cost of the optional buffet is $21.95 (the same as 2009) and should be paid in advance.

On the menu (subject to change) is Sliced London Broil, Chicken Picata, Garden Salad, Fruit Medley, Potatoes Au Gratin, Vegetable Medley and Chocolate Mousse, along with sourdough rolls and butter, coffee and tea.

If you are planning to participate in the optional buffet, please let us know. The attendee list will have a "B" after your name if the buffet is in your plans.

Send your check in the amount of $21.95 to Ray Ross/Binghamton Reunion, PO Box 303, Endicott, NY 13760.

We don't need payment right away, but the sooner the better.

We are just about ready to announce our Broadcaster award winners. The Steering Committee has made the final selections, but there is still time to nominate someone for one of our awards. We'll make our first announcement in the next few days.

The 2011 Reunion will also welcome a non-performing celebrity guest, who will receive an award from the Bundy Museum and the Southern Tier Broadcasters Association. Our celebrity guest will join us for dinner.

If you are planning on attending, please let us know. There's no commitment, in case your plans change. Drop a note to [email protected].

Feel free to share this to those who might be interested in attending, or let us know, and we'll get them on the e-mail list.

We have received an over whelming number of nominees for our various awards. The Steering Committee is close to making a final decision on the award winners.

The primary categories are Broadcaster of the Year, Living Legend, and Special Achievement Awards.

If you have any one you'd like to nominate, let us know. We'd like to announce the full slate in the next few weeks.

Everyone who attends will receive a free souvenir CD loaded with pictures of broadcasters, equipment and vehicles. Dave Lozzi is assembling the CD. If you have some pictures you'd like to share, send an e-mail to [email protected].

Dave Lozzi has been working hard on putting the CD together

Many of the pictures have come from Jon Scaptura's web-site, which housed an amazing number of pictures.

Photo can be sent to Dave Lozzi at [email protected]

If you have a lot of pictures, a CD of photos may be sent to Dave at 2386 North Cafferty Hill Road, Endicott, 13760.

Or it that doesn't work for you, send drop an e-mail to [email protected], and we'll get you set up with an upload site.

If you have pictures on Facebook, we're all right with borrowing those pictures. Just give us the ok, and we'll download them. Tim Johnson and Barb Mack have already agreed to that.

And if you trust us with the original photos, send them down, we'll scan them and get them returned quickly.

Whatever you decide, send them in the best resolution, and include a caption on paper on in the file name so we can identify the people or places.

Here is the latest list of people attending the reunion this year:

Please keep in mind that everyone on this list has
confirmed their attendance by e-mail or in person,
but things happen. Our cancellations and
no-shows have been few and far between, but drop
a note to [email protected], if you need to confirm
that a specific person will be attending. We'll do our best
to hook you up with that person.

By the same token, if you are on the list and find
that you are unable to attend, let us know, and we
will update the website.
