Definately not a rock book like in Elmira... the battle of the females in this book with Mix, Star, Magic and Wild all up...

Stations - 12+ Summary (Movement: last rank -> current rank)

WHWK - Down a smidge (1->1)
WNBF - Down over 1 (2->2)
WMXW - Up over 1 (6->3)
WAAL - Continues decline a few tenths (4->4)
WMRV - Up a bit (5->4)
WLTB - Up slightly over 1 (7->4)
WKGB - Tumbles two (3->7)
WWYL - Up one (8->8)
WINR - Down over 1 (8->9)
WCDW - Up 50% (11->10)
WBBI - Up a few tenths (10->10)
WENE - Down slightly (11->12)

The problem appears that CC's cluster numbers are turfed. In 1999/2000, Star, Mix, KGB and BBI combined for nearly 28 shares. What is it now? Like 22-23? In our stronger books, we did over 30 12+ shares (decidedly female skewing).

How are 18-49 and 25-54 females?

With 3 stations at 7.0 exactly..my immediate question is undersampling. A typical Arbitron failing, especially in Bingo. I've seen books that were totally weighted in the WRONG geographical areas. Arbitron is a disgrace.

If anyone has gender breakouts, let's hear them!!!

Interesting.

I'd like to see 25-54 females M-F 6a-7p, as well as females 35-64 6a-7p. If the numbers you just flashed hold true, then Mix has lost ground to LTB, which has taken a big adult piece away from Mix.

The 18-49 female numbers for Star are prolly spiked 18-34. To be expected. It's hard for me to fathom how a 50k signal has managed to lose so much ground in the market. I'll have to listen to the market as I'm heading back to Florida.

Looks like quite a book for LTB. Local radio lives!

Marc,

Star is playing a rockbased Hot AC variety format that is tired and not too hip sounding for younger listeners. Wild sounds like Star did before Wild, very day parted, very rock/pop based during the day, hip hop and rhythmic at night. Magic is all over the board but playing more and more recent stuff after having last year seemed to focus on oldies... What I like about Magic is it seems they have a wider playlist of artists to get more sounds and some good fun 80's & 90's songs you can sing along with. Mix is mix and has been playing mainly the same game for years...<P ID="signature">______________
