It appears that one of the more unique sites considering the size of the market, Binghamtoradio.com is "currently disabled". For those of us who can fondly remember when Binghamton radio actually included localized programming and some real good OAT (Bill Parker, Benard Fionte, Johnathon Bartholomew Tucker, Johnny Cheslo, Dick Sargent (pre. Johnny Donovan), Ray Ross. The photo tab provided many images of the talent and station photo's from the 50's - 70's. Jon Scaptura actually did a labor of love for this industry in putting the site up, posting the multitude of posts. For a small radio market, it was an unusual collection of days gone by for Binghamton radio. Too bad.

i was on the site just now...and its on..BUT..certain links are mising... looks like a mysql or some database error.

Sorry about the site.

The web provider that I was using got sold to another company, and all of the sites were transferred to another server. Now, none of the scripts can find the databases. I haven't been able to get anything to work, and money is too tight to hire someone to fix it who knows what he's doing.

Everything is intact, and the site is due for renewal. I'm trying to scrape up the $$$ to renew it, but like I said, money is tight.

Jon, your efforts to maintain this site are greatly appreciated. IMHO, the responsibility for the costs involved with this site should not be yours. I know in the past your request for on line donations has fallen on too many blind eyes considering the hits the site receives, but can you give us an idea of the costs involved to get the site running again? I'm sure we can gather some funds.

I'm in need of someone with PHP and MySQL experience to help me fix the site. Contact me off forum.

BinghamtonRadio.com is mostly back up and running thanks to the time and efforts of Bruce Nelson. There are still some minor issues that I'm working on, but for the most part it is back up and running.
