Biography Channel (bio) jumping the shark?

I don't normally pay them much attention, but I see that they're airing "Flip This House" and "Dog The Bounty Hunter" on Biography ("bio.") now, although occasionally. How long has this been going on? It also would appear that the program "Biography" (of which the channel was named for) now airs mostly in the morning hours only...just a couple of years ago, that took up a sizable portion of the schedule.

Could "bio" be "jumping the shark" from what its original purpose was?

They did it ever since they carried "Murder She Wrote" several years back.

2004...it hasn't featured what their network was created for as their format for years. Now it just acts as the incredibly inferior competitor to Investigation Discovery and as A&E's ESPN Classic/Cloo/Planet Green equivalent (a channel a cable network has to take to get the better networks).

They jumped the shark when they started producing "bios" of people like
Danny Bonaduce and Ryan Seacrest.

I know they've been going downhill for a long time, but it's getting worse more quickly. Seeing that Bio has relegated "Biography" to the early morning hours only for the most part, I can't help but wonder if they'll eventually cancel the series. It's had a good run, but I agree, they've gone downhill. Some of the older A&E imports like "City Confidential" and "American Justice" are still pretty good, but I agree that they are becoming a poor man's Investigation Discovery (a network that has really exceeded my expectations) and dumping ground for A&E reruns. Bio is really embracing the ghost/crime thing. How many of these ghost/crime shows do we need, exactly?

I used to love this station when it first went on. It featured many interesting people with great information. Now there is hardly shows anything of interest, and especially some of the "Biographies" that they broadcast with third rate "stars" and Lindsay Lohan type of no depth features. Such a shame since it could be so much better
