Birach Broadcasting files a transfer of control

I know these are AMs but in markets with substantial groups bonded by language or geography or has a few larger churches, these can be leased. It can't be pricey but rather cost of operation plus $X per month ($X might be $3,000). I am assuming the stations own their land and towers. With a central office with an employee, you should be pulling in some cash. Once that dries up, it's time to sell. We have to realize, we're looking at stations with a very limited shelf life and limited operational options.

Somehow 770 WEW has kept the contract with Overcomer Ministry going, after ending Brother Stair broadcasts elsewhere earlier this year. I have a feeling Birach offered Overcomer a much lowered bargain rate in order to keep them on the air. BTW, Brother Stair leases most of WEW's broadcast day. They are a 1 KW daytimer.

Overcomer is still on shortwave via WTWW in Tennessee, likely with a rock bottom airtime rate, as well as on Spaceline Bulgaria for presumably the same reason. Some stations desperately need any program contract they can get their paws on.

It's probably an afterthought. Birach also owns WIJR Highland, IL (880), which aims its directional signal at St. Louis. WIJR is best known for carrying Spanish-language broadcasts of St. Louis Cardinals baseball. It started out as WINU and never was much of a factor in the market.

The link on Birach's own website to WIJR's website leads to a parked domain. Actually there are quite a few broken links on Birach's website. But you get a brief bio: www.birach.com

As someone whos sold airtime to The Overcomer when Stair was alive and in better times.. i can gaurentee you whatever WTWW, Spaceline and WEW is getting right now is beyond bargain basement.

Bargain basement was what they had been paying before the near total cessation of their broadcasting on radio.

Spacelines Rates are VERY VERY competitive with the bigger boys (Issoudun, Wooferton, Taiwan, etc) .. in fact Spaceline is a better deal especially if you wanna reach Europe, the middle east and north africa.

The only people with cheaper rates are WRMI and WBCQ but WRMI only has 100kw and WBCQ has 50kw. Spaceline can do 250 to 300kw.

Some years ago, didnt Sima have a notice on his website accusing his son of fradulently registering the company in another state and saying that Jr was the head of the company, not Sr? I know i saw that at birach.com

The message on Birach.com was as follows:

My company was registered in Virginia without my knowledge and approval. Several people imposed fraud on courts in Virginia and Maryland using my company. This is the warning to the public that for any business you want to do with Birach Broadcasting, you should contact office in Southfield (the only office for Birach Broadcasting Corporation). I am the only officer and stockholder of the company. Any questions regarding my company should be addressed directly to me.

However, you are correct that Sima Birach Jr. was at least one of those who falsely represented himself as an officer of Birach Broadcasting Corporation on several occasions in the state of Virginia.

In 2009, Birach, Sr. took legal action in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia for the sole purpose of protecting himself and BBC from Birach, Jr. by obtaining a permanent consensual injunction. The language of the order suggests that Birach, Sr. sought protection from Birach, Jr. because Birach, Jr. had previously misrepresented himself as an agent of Birach, Sr., or of BBC, causing confusion in broadcast business community, to the financial detriment of Birach, Sr
.
