Everybody's talking 'bout a new way of walking. Do you want to lose your mind? ??? :)
So I said to the pharmacist, "I have a rash, can you show me where the baby powder is?"

And the pharmacist replied, "Yes sir, walk this way."

And I retorted, "If I could walk that way, I wouldn't need the damned baby powder." (rim-shot)

What in the world's come over you? ???

I'm walkin', yes indeed. But I'm tired so I believe I'll just jump in my Rocket 88 and hit the road, Jack.

OK, I'll go, but don't go out searchin' for me, 'cause I'll be out walkin' after midnight. If you want to call me, I've changed my number from BEechwood 4-5789 to LOnesome 7-7203. I'm so hurt. :'( :'(

Jenny Jenny and I are still at 867-5309. Why? Because there are 16 reasons.
I asked you to call me, but my girl sometimes carries my cell phone. So if a woman answers, hang up the phone.

I've got a cell phone, on a cloudy day,
When it's cold outside, I've got unused minutes hey,
I guess you'd say, what could make me call today,
My cell, my cell, my cell,
Talkin' 'bout my cell....

OK RG, you win. No way I can top that one. :D ;D ;)

Well, maybe I could, but right now I'm laughing too hard.
Have a great day tomorrow.
See ya.

Laugh laugh, I thought I died, it seemed so funny to me :)

Stop laughing and keep trying!

Maybe the OP had just watched the Family Guy episode where Peter was obsessed with "Surfin' Bird"?
Ding, ding, ding! We have a winnah!

Although Peter seems to have gotten the lyrics wrong, or maybe I just remembered them wrong.

Also, I defy anyone here to tell me where there is a radio station that actually plays the song. Considering that this is the type of song that oldies radio doesn't want anymore, if there is oldies radio at all in a market.

Maybe not a radio station, but the song has turned up on Music Choice, on both its Solid Gold Oldies and Party Favorites channels. It's also a favorite of sorts with older punk rockers. The song has been covered by the Ramones and the Cramps, among others.

The song has also turned up on Dr. Demento's program more than once.

No reason for the song not to turn up on an Oldies station. It peaked at #4 on the Billboard charts. Maybe it just didn't test all that well.

Say Good Night, Gracie! :)

I recently picked up the Beach Boys' Party album at a used record store for $1.00, and it includes "Papa Oom Mow Mow." I do not think this particular tune is the same as the "Surfin' Bird," but it certainly is similar.

However, the "oom papa oom papa oom papa mow mow" on "Elvira" by the Oak Ridge Boys is definitely not based on the "Surfin' Bird." ;D 8)

Nice...
Also used by Dan and Dick on Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In.
Dan: Say goodnight, Dick.
Dick: Goodnight, Dick.

BTW, RG - Is your challenge still in effect?

GLB is ready for you, but, are you ready for GLB?
