Birmingham radio ratings - March 2023

Birmingham Nielsen radio ratings for March 2023 were released today. WDXB "102.5, The Bull" takes over the #4 spot, displacing WZZK-FM. WUHT "Hot 107.7" continues to slowly erode. WMJJ "Magic 96.5" drops off precipitously, losing much of its christmas music (magic) it gained back in December. WZRR "Talk 99.5" continues to climb and displaces heritage WERC "News Radio 105.5". WBPT "Classic Rock 106.9" moves ahead to the #3 spot. WPYA "Mix 97.3" continues to spiral downward into the abyss, but this is nothing new for Birmingham's 97.3 FM. This time, ratings-wise. WPYA falls below WAGG-AM and THREE FM translators ("105.1 Hallelujah FM", "104.1 The Beat", and "103.1, The Vulcan"). WPYA also tied with their FM translator for Birmingham Mountain Radio at 107.3 FM, which offers a niche AAA format. Is it time for WPYA "Mix 97.3" to spin the format wheel again?
