Birmingham talk radio

Goodness Birmingham has three news/talk stations and all three are below average. I know the market is usually a poor one for talk radio, but I would have thought somebody might put some effort into a decent news/talker.

If Crawford would pull talk from 101.1 WYDE, CC's 105.5 would do better, I guess. I'm not even gonna get started on WYDE, no use complaining anymore. I kinda miss the days when they played Steely Dan, The Doobie Brothers, and all those others. It beat what they're doing now:)

Haven't listened to a Crawford station since they brought the Attack Machine up here from Panama City and then fired them 4mths later because Burt & Kurt didn't like them.

Don't listen to ERC because their morning people won't acknowledge people on hold even after 40 minutes and they fired Dominick Brascia after getting him to move to Bham from Beaumont, Tx.

WAPI is the only talk worth listening to, especially since they have Matt Murphy in the morning. I wish there were a local show again in the evenings..... And that WAPI would pick up an FM transmitter.

And I understand stations are businesses and are there to make money for their owners.... But if I don't listen to their stations (for whatever reason) then I'm not hearing their ads. And that's the bottom line.
