I was taking my younger son to the gym this morning bright and early (little after 6 am) and heard Tom and Lorraine hyping up tonight's big event. Then Corey tried to contribute but his microphone wasn't working so he ended up just shouting a few things from where he was sitting.

Tom said it best when he mumbled "Boy, this is great radio."

On a serious note, I really do wish the folks at WECK well. I hope their party tonight is a blast. No, I won't be there but I have a feeling some Entercom underlings or interns will be in disguise as patrons of Hucklebuckets to keep an eye on things.

Congrats to Brad on pulling this thing off and I hope everyone associated with the station has fun.

Happy Birthday WECK!!!

Well, maybe if they had the Soul Barons playing there...

Will they be unveiling a new Bradifesto?

As far as Brad/Tom goes, Brad K. Riter is on the air RIGHT NOW with Corey.

Maybe he will explain it sometime in the next half hour?

Brad just said it's going to be a rip-roaring good time so if you like to drink and hang out at a bar, stop at Hucklebuckets.

Family are also invited. Brad's parents and his in-laws are also coming.

Are those fellas from WNYMedia.net gonna be there? Some people don't like some of those bloggers.

Brad sounds a bit desparate asking people to attend. If they like the station and don't mind paying for their own drinks, they will be there Mr. Program Director.

Best of luck with the whole thing. Pulling something like that off is difficult. Brad will likely be running around like his head is cut off the whole night and might not be able to have much time to converse and eat and drink.

I know the drinks aren't free but is there free finger foods?

If the Soul Barons did show up that would be VERY interesting (and entertaining.)

Happy Friday Tom. Best of luck to you in all of your future endeavors.

To make it an overflow crowd why not invite the former jerry jacks tom thomas's and mike melodys. Never mind it would have to be at Rich stadium..........

You have to give credit to Brad Riter for booking that golf tournament. Hopefully the proceeds go to a charitable cause in WNY.

WGR's annual golf tournament never seems to list who receives the proceeds.

Brad's talked about this on the air before. The suits at Entercom seem to always avoid coming up with an answer, even to their own employees, including the sales reps (some of whom are my friends) who have asked about where the funds go.

Hopefully Brad can reveal here what charity he's targeting to provide funds to as part of the first annual RITER RADIO golf tourney.

Kramer, give it up. Who are you trying to fool? You're all over the place. One of your first posts you ask who are the good sales people at BEN then now you say you got a bunch od friends over there. Stop being a clown.

I heard him say the other day that the proceeds are going to that golf for youngsters programs - First Tee, I think it's called and also to the fund for the off-duty Buffalo cop who was hit by a drunk driver and has a long recovery ahead of him.

The Buffalo officer who was seriously injured is a GREAT cause.

On a different note, I heard some of the "birthday party" broadcast and was not impressed. It was obvious Nick wanted to join the party (who wouldn't when your co-workers are enjoyed ice cold beers and you're still working?) so Brad allowed that to happen and things got a bit sloppy, in more ways that one.

Getting drunk on the air? That is NOT a good idea.

I only heard the end of it, and that was actually pretty good. Tim Graham was on, and he had a lot of interesting things to say.

But, yeah, drinking on the air is horrible radio.
