Bitrate question

What Bitrate have you found to be ideal for web streaming?
What Bitrate do most of the FM's streaming web audio use?

Thanks

MP3 music Minimum = 128k stereo
MP3 talk Minimum = 24k mono

In my experience, most big FMs use low quality streaming, around 24-48k for music, probably thinking that web streaming is not serious business.

If you're using the WM encoder from Microsoft AND have the quality sliders turned up all the way:

64kbps Stereo for music minimum
32kbps Mono for music/talk minimum

If you use the v10 Professional WM codec you can use 32k Stereo for music and its not bad!
