Biz Radio Officially Moving to 1110

Biz Radio JUst announced That 1360 Will no longer work as Biz Radio
"[Unable to Connect Telephone sound] Were Sorry but the number you just tuned into, 1360, will no longer be a valid number on May 16th. "Thats Right the SOund of your Money Will be moving to a New number. am 1110 KJSA"

So whats gunna happen to 1360?

Wow! The history of 1360 is one of the greatest ever! Now it's nothing. That is hard to believe. What is that frequency worth now?

I noticed when I was driving thru Keller yesterday that the City of Keller broadcasts PSA's on 1650 am. For one fleeting moment I thought I had Steve Eberhart's 1650 oldies radio!

Jay :)

With a 50K daytime signal it should be worth a lot... I wish it would switch to oldies, fat chance!

My guess is it will be Spanish language, country, religious brokered, or yet another (yawn) talk or sports station. Another nail in the coffin of the AM band. All we need now is for 1110 to start jamming four more frequencies with iBoc jamming.

I haven't made an official announcement yet, but tune in 1360 next Friday...I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Don't expect it to last too long, however...but let's just say that I plan to teach The Bone and KZPS and Jack something about how to program music.

Thats great even for a short-term format, I hope someone will stream it online.

KMNY doesn't quite have the daytime reach of 1190, 1270 and other 50K's over here in east Texas.

It's too bad rather than creating another station to play music recorded decades ago someone doesn't try building a station that's dedicated to new music, particularly on these AM or HD2 signals no one is listening to.

In other market, Bonneville has its iChannel format broadcasting on some of its HD2 stations (WTOP-HD 103.5-2 Washington, etc.). That station broadcasts music from unsigined bands and independent artists. Similarly, rocker WIYY 97.9 Baltimore runs "Indie 97.9" on WIYY-HD3. Or WRIF 101.1 Detroit's "Riff 2" HD2 channel.
