After all that has been blogged about it there were some good things. First, the format itself IMHO, is a good and viable format. It needs to be formed and run by credible radio vets who know how to put it together. Second, the only thing worth saving from the Frishberg iteration is the name "BizRadio". It's a strong moniker. It will never be a format that will bill $Millions, but it can generate enough to make it profitable and sustainable over the long run. The problem with this format in many markets where it failed was the inability of the business people that formed it failed to run it as a media outlet, WHICH IT WAS! They seem not to pay attention to the physical plant and definitely do not pay attention to the life blood----AD REVENUE. This format is a dance between highly intelligent business people and real broadcasters. If each does their thing without the interference or abusive control from the other you might have a real shot in developing this format successfully. I'm a believer in learning from your mistakes. Someone should grab the format, restart it on a good signal and develop it slowly, don't worry about rapid expansion and generate a consistent listenership and over time a larger company might come in, take it over and pour significant resources into it.
