What's going with Bj SHea's Show? Bad Ratings??? Why did they change the format that made BJ and crew and Success?

The show now sounds like the old "ANDY SAVAGE SHOW" Where is that show? Cancelled!!!! A little music, simulated letters from listeners, beat the producer. The only thing they are missing is the ROSES bit. RIP BJ

Not to come to the defense of a show that hasn't been on the air in 5+ years, but I think the fact that CBS pulled the plug on K-Rock so quick played a bigger role on why the show was cancelled.

When you look at the talent, STP has been going strong for 10+ years in Seattle. The guy is extremely talented. IMO, Jodi is one of the most talented female hosts in the market, and at KNDD Andy was consistently top 3 in his demo.

Maybe I am biased having worked for the show, but I think had CBS been a little more patient, the show would have had more longevity. Not saying it would still be around in the PPM world today, but I think it could have lasted longer.

As far as BJ's show goes, I see nothing wrong with the changes. If that's what necessary to keep the show going strong for years to come, then they'll have made the right choice. Even if it bothers some people. At the end of the day you should support them through the changes, not decide to drop them just because they decided to add a game and spin a few songs.

Hey Big Ron-

I loved Andy's Show and the perosonalites that were on it. I'm seeing similarities in the shows formats and hate to see BJ's show get cancelled.

KISW hasn't had music in AM Drive since 2002...so the whole "Rock Vs. Talk" argument is blown completely to hell. The show TALKS better then anyone else on the radio besides a handful of radio shows in America. Now, there's songs that appeal to people who are completely polar opposites to the core audience of the show. It's called "counter-programming" and it's a sign of a lack of confidence in the formula of the show that has been solid for 5+ years on KISW. The people at Entercom are getting greedy and need better ratings to justify the extra staff members around the show.

If this approach to the show continues, I can see a core member of the show getting his "future endeavors" from the suits upstairs...or the ratings for the entire station does a belly flop and falls out of the top 10 overall. After all, they are just trying to divide an audience that KZOK and KJR-FM have locked down and protect KNDD by leaning more into the Classic Rock genre...

Exactly how much classic rock do they have to play before you consider them a classic rock station that plays the occasional current? I don't know if they are leaning towards classic rock or if they have fallen over the edge.

I think that morning shows strength is their dynamic on air and with these classic music breaks that flow is drastically disrupted, the other morning they did a top ten list and I think they talked about 10,9, and 8 and hit a music break and the topic was over and done. Listeners will not go for that kind of show on a daily basis. I the audience can't hear a whole topic you might as well just voice track mornings and be done with it.
