BJ Shea is awesome. On the air he plays the part that he needs to play and he does it well. Off the air, he's one of the nicest people I've met in radio. He racks on this board because of what it is. A gossipy, childish little sewing circle. Get lives people!

BJ is a Leykis wannabe and doesn't bring anything unique or creative to the table. The Seattle Sewage System is awesome too, but I'm not going to spend 10-2:00 weekdays putting it into my ear or nose holes. He plays the part that he CHOOSES to play (and he DOESN'T DO IT WELL) and I don't give a rat's ass what he is like off the air. The very second his show intro comes on, my radio goes off. Which is the beauty of America. I can wipe him & his show right off my plump rump and flush him away every single day... that's my right. And he can just go on swirling around in the toilets of all the idiot 19 year old males of Seattle, tearing down 100 years of civility and decency... that's his right. And I don't begrudge him that.

There are 10 kinds of people. Those who understand binary, and those who do not.</P>

Nice guy. Used to share some air with him many, many years ago. We havn't done lunch since the 80's but I doubt he's changed much. Once a class act, always a class act.

Based on your long dissertations that you've gone out of your way to post all over this board about the myriad ways you can't stand BJ or his show, how you would rather cram moose turd in your ears and smell your dog's farts, how you avoid that show like the plague, on and on ad nauseum, I would say BJ is doing something right. You must REALLY hate it to go to that much trouble letting everyone know. It's pretty common knowledge that a successful 'hot talk' (or whatever they're calling it this month) radio program polarizes, garners strong reactions, makes people mad, makes people run around spewing how much they can't stand it, etc. It is when people are neutral about you that your show is dead meat.
Just my 2c

I've never heard his show on The Buzz. Is he the same BJ from the "Blake and BJ Show" on KDBK San Francisco back in the early 90s? If it's the same guy, I used to really enjoy listening to him.

You are EXACTLY right!!! I always laugh when people tell me how much they hate "Shock Jocks". just like you said... those people are only successful if you LOVE them OR HATE them. If you really want to piss one of them off, call or write them and let them know that you listened to their show, but have no opinon of them and won't listen agin because they didn't grab you like Howard or Tom can... that'll drive them nuts for weeks!!

Seriously, you can't go a day without trolling a Buzz or BJ thread?

Look! A Post from Robin! was Re: BJ

Hey! Robin!

So, like, what's new in the land of men-o-pause?

You like doing mornings on the Buzz?

Hee hee... sorry. My computer wasn't working for a couple of weeks, so I had to catch up! When I was able to get back to the board here I noticed so many BJ-lover notes I got a little carried away replying to all of them! I guess he isn't actually worth as much spew as I spewed his direction. I spent more time barfing up nasty notes about him than I've spent listening to his show in the last 6 months!

And, for what it's worth, I'm not Robin. But I can think of a lot of worse people to be than her! I am JustaLissner... but not of BJ's show.
