BK & JD Similarities

At least the D'backs realized what a non-talent Byung-Hyun Kim is and have sent him packin' after two starts. Meanwhile KFWhyEye continues to suffer with it's own BK - JD Hayworth. Nurse Jeff and I have started a list of similarities between the two...care to tag on?

1) BK & JD are equally disliked.

2) BK & JD need a translator to be understood.

3) BK & JD turned winners into losers.

One is washed up, discredited and despised by the public, and hard to understand.

The other plays baseball.

Don't forget that they make a lot more money than you ever will.

They "play the game", while you write about it.

By the way, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Kim play for the 2001 World Champion Diamondbacks and then save 36 games the following year?

In all seriousness, while I'm not the biggest JD Fan, you people buried him before he even had his first broadcast, just like they buried Kim before he even pitched here again. This board is filled with reactionary types rather than those that give something a chance... how sad.

He almost blew the series when he choked Games 4 and 5. His best - in fact, his only really decent year - was 2002 and he went down the toilet rapidly after that. He also gave up HR #715 to Barroids last year, putting him ahead of Babe Ruth.

No matter what he does in the future (and he's reportedly headed for Japan), he'll always be known as a choke-artist, rightly or wrongly. His reputation as a clubhouse cancer (which is supposedly why the Marlins let him go) doesn't help.

He is nuts if he goes to Japan.

Koreans are treated as sub-human in Japan.

His only decent years were those in which he wasn't obsessed about being a starter. Remember, the D-Backs moved him the first time partially because he refused to stay in the bullpen. Looks like he should have taken their advice. That goofy delivery befuddled people when they only saw him once in a while, but once he tried to make it as a starter he got figured out in a hurry.

Which, in a sense, is a little reminiscent of JD. Interesting for a few minutes, maybe, but then you start to feel like you've already heard everything he has to say.
