Bkfld stations you listen to for music/DJ's

Taking your radio hats off, if you were just average "radio listener person " what stations would you actually listen to for their music despite the DJ's or vice versa? We all have different music tastes and while Bakersfield isn't the best city to indulge them, we've had a lot of exciting changes in the past few years so who and what is on your car pre-sets and why?

KUZZ , I love country music and I enjoy listening to Casey Mcbride. The other jocks I could take or leave

KBKO-again I like country, their DJ's are too vanilla except the mid-day chick I forgot her name and never hear her say it! But I do like her personality. Ken and Barb(LaRae) are nice people but nice does not always a DJ make..

KLLY-LOVE the music,can't stand the dj's especially Jamie..get that girl a bar of soap!Her schtick is getting OLD

KGFM-gotta be in the mood for that music ,but enjoy Rachael and Dean in the morning I can relate to him and she reminds me of a former girlfriend who I'm still close with.You can say you know these two..

Pirate-it's growing on me,dying to see what AGM does with this

PLAY-hate the music but love Dirty what a talent, I don't hear him often but met him twice and his public personality is just plain warmth.

KISV-can "sometimes" take the music and love Romeo's misogynistic attitude.He is an awesome disc jockey

KRAB-The music isn't my cup o tea..Meathead and Desi sound like they don't like eachother,Rocky is good and totally fits the station, wnat a great move for her. Laura sounds bored and tired and Danny is perfect on KRAB he just reminds me of a rocker dude and even though I haven't seen him I can just imagine him wearing some old RATT t-shirt to work.

KDFO-Gotta be in the mood, but I dig Anne she is a REAL jock.What a voice!

KSMJ-just recently tuned in, so don't have an opinion yet.

Spent a couple of days last week listening to them on I-5 and 99.

I enjoy listening to Bruce Wayne.. Hes a hidden comedian for dark humor... I love it.. Dirty is my dog Love him to death when he unleashed he reminds me of a younger well you know.... There are a few other jocks that i like to listen to as well. Now as far as radio stations beside mine that i listen to.... IM the same as the other non radio employee... Just play my favorite song and call it a day or it will be a cd of the week... heres a great question.. Whats in your cd player now?

KUZZ- even though I am not a HUGE country fan I do listen from time to time. No one can touch them. I don't know her name but I love the girl that on at night.

speaking of country
KBKO- I hate to bash but the station is a joke. Ken and Laree are tired, cheesy and boring.

Hot 94.1- It seems like they sometimes try too hard to be "cool" but I do like the station. I like J Reed at night, Romeo is Romeo, Midday guy sounds good but I can not stand the guy in the afternoons. How did he get in Radio???

KGFM- KGFM is KGFM

KLLY 95.3- Love Jamie White. I know she is crude and OVERLY sexual but I love listening to her. I also enjoy listening to EJ. The night guy on the other hand is a joke.


PLAY 103.9- Needs direction. Needs a new PD/air talent with the exception of Dirty.

KRAB- hate listening in the morning but Laura and Danny both have a good thing going on. I'm also glad Rocky is over at KRAB she sounds like she is having fun.

The Fox- Talent? They are 100% voicetracked right. What a joke!
 
Mornings are Bob & Tom with a switch to Dean and Rach during the break. Other than B& T not a Fox guy.

KLLY, only after Jamie is done.... I dig the music, but miss JR in the afternoon.

KBKO Mornings, Steve targets little old ladies, and the Shortcut 360 is potted up to high, buzzes my speakers when its in playback, distorts the callers. But KUZZ the rest of the day.

KGEO - Love Jim Rome. Great move to drop the ESPN feed and go with a real sports show. Still miss 800.

KGEO - Don and Mike. A little much at times, but theres nothing else on lighthearted during the day.

KGEO - The Puck Show. Again, not to serious, fun. PUCK, drop the interviews with authers that we don't care about. I hate listining to a guy talking about "life as a Viagra Salesman" on my way home.

Sorry, have no input on Kisv, or Play... not my thing.

KKXX, some of the music I recognize, I can hang for 15 minutes, but I'll be back later in the day.

KGET - JT The Brick. Again, sports. Interactive. Love it. Strange station to put it on.

KNZR - Ralpl B. Hard to listen, I'm at work... every now and then I can hear you spending an break with Todd Karli, .. Todd = a switch back to Puck....... Don't we hear Todd at 5 anyway? Thats a segment that can be dished.

Sammy Sammy Sammy, I know your not local, but I wish you could hear what happens here. The tracks into the traffic report sound like a trainwreck. CC needs to work on that.

I'm done, but I can say we have some variety here. it's a good market, just wish we had more local talent.
