Cancelled. Last show is April 19. I liked this show alot. Anybody else interested in it?

If NBC had any sense, this would show them that the problem is the time slot, not the shows in it. Both Studio 60 and TBD deserve a better shot in another time slot.

The problem may be the time slot, but where should those shows be placed?

At this time, I'm willing to believe that there may be a chance for Studio 60 on a Friday night, but where should the other show be relocated to?
(And respectfully, what do others believe is a better time slot for Studio 60?)

NBC is having this problem with all of their shows. There are no good time slots because the network no longer has any lead-ins worth a damn. The only NBC shows that are banking any kind of audience these days are on at 10:00 PM (9:00 Central)..The Law and Orders and ER...Those shows are getting numbers based on loyal audience and not what is in front of them.

NBC needs to bite the bullet and let some of these struggling shows hang around another season and see if they can catch on, on their own.

They made the call with 30 Rock, now lets hope they do it with Friday Night Lights and Studio 60. Meanwhile, maybe they can run the Black Donnellys over the summer so we can see the season play out and if it gets a little summer buzz it can find a place midseason next year.

Here's my analysis of TBD's...

Let's make a show about a bunch of bad guys and their good brother. Yeah, that's what I want to see. Its about as interesting as watching a... Name your inevitable tragedies and fill in the blank.

I confess, I don't know much more about the premise than that, because I haven't watched more that 60 seconds of it. And 60 seconds is about how long the show was with us, as it should.

Perhaps NBC execs should a little about plot and character development. Remember that show about the preacher who sees Jesus? Same thing. No character development, the show starts and he's just their and that's it.

And they wonder why they are the 6th network behind MyNetowrkTV? Ok, not that bad, but hey they're trying.

Sorry Black Donnellys fans but I'm happy! Maybe now Studio 60 has a chance.

I said this before if Showtime picked up Studio 60 I'd subscribe to Showtime in a heartbeat.

Let's merge the two shows. Call it, "The Black Donnelly's at Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip"!!!!

It would be a two hour block. We'll move the Donnelly's to LA. At the end of each show, the scene will have one of the Donnelly's driving past Studio 60. Then seque into the building and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip begins. It will be a seamless transition between the shows.

As for Friday Night Lights. HHHmmmmm Hey!!! Here is a thought, put it on FRIDAY NIGHT!!!!!

Wondered if someone besides me would come up with that one....the only problem? Many who might be interested in watching that night could possibly be away from their TVs, at a high school football game :D

I have not seen the Black Donnellys, but it didn't do well in the ratings. The Monday 10PM time slot is very difficult for ABC and NBC because CBS' CSI: Miami is highly popular show among audiences and is one of the highest-rated show on that night. Also, many FOX stations and a few CW stations air local news at 10PM. In some markets, the 10PM newscast do very well against the network programs. Another factor, cable! With USA's Monday Night Raw (WWE Wrestling) and FX's newest show The Riches, some viewers could be turning to cable or going to bed!

Yes, NBC had some problems with their new dramas, but they have found successes too. With the surprising strong start of Heroes, there could be some hope for the network in the future. You have to look at the large picture, all networks have problems. ABC can't get a situation sitcom to work, while CBS is trying to find the right show on Tuesday nights (especially at 10PM). These networks will find a way to get audiences, but it takes time and effort!

Time and effort?
What's the minimum "low rating" acceptable if time and effort is going to go into a show instead of giving up and cancelling it?
