BLAINE HARVEY/DAN DONOVAN ON WSBA IN THE 1960's

I'm seeking to fill in the gaps about Blaine Harvey's time, both under his real name, and as Dan Donovan in the 1960s on WSBA. He left college after two years (1958-1960) in State College and went on the air as Blaine Harvey in 1960. Anybody remember what time of year (or specific month) he joined WSBA way back then?

Blaine left WSBA and went to WICE in Providence, RI circa April 1962. He remained there until the fall of 1964, when he went 50 miles north to Boston as one of the string of jocks there using the WMEX "house name" Dan Donovan. He evidentally liked the name because he went back to WSBA in late 1966 and used Dan Donovan for the rest of his career.

Blaine (now Dan) came back to WSBA for a while and then went to WCBM in Baltimore. Anybody remember when he left for Baltimore...was in in '67 or 68?

Also, what shift did he handle during both times at WSBA?

Not sure about the exact timeline, but I seem to remember Blaine (Dan) on WSBA from 1966 'til early '68. After WCBM he spent several years doing PM drive on WFIL in Philly. Left 'FIL for Minneapolis/St. Paul. He came back to Philly briefly in the early 80's when WFIL did "The Boss is Back" oldies format.....then headed back to the twin cities where he remains to this day. I believe he is an Adams county native. I think he grew up around Biglerville.

Blaine Harvey was on WSBA 3-6 his first time there, as Dan Donovan he was on primarily 2-6 from 66 to early '68 when he left forWCBM. He is from New Oxford in Adams county. I have an aircheck of his from june '67...there is a site, Radio Timeline that has it, you can download for free
