Blair Garner to NASH Mornings?

That's what Country Aircheck reports. Originating from Nashville, where Blair currently hosts After Midnight for Premiere. Hmmm.

The article seems to suggest he'd do both.

That would be kind of cool. If my memory serves me correctly wouldn't WPLJ listeners recall him as "Skye Walker"? I've listened to his show several times and it's a good listen. I'd imagine he would have a pretty good morning show.

Tonight Nash has had an on-air personality during the hours following 7 pm, probably for the first time. I have not heard him give his name. Perhaps someone can post it. Nothing that has been said would indicate that he was broadcasting live.

Blair Garner to be syndicated in morning drive...in NYC?

That's not what the article said. He doesn't do a syndicated morning show.

But the speculation is that he would eventually be syndicated to other "NASH" branded Cumulus stations.

The same speculation that said all the talent would be syndicated nationally, and none of that speculation has proved true.

If he is doing the show in Nashville, and it plays in NYC, it IS syndicated.

Read the definition for syndicated. That's not it.

As long as NASH is the only station airing it, it's not syndicated. He just happens to be in another location.

If a NYC show is not done in NYC, it ain't local...

But that doesn't make it syndicated. And if he's specifically doing it for NYC, it's local, regardless of where he is.

And they prep out some "local mentions" a couple times an hour? Yeah, that's local.

Look...it hasn't even been announced yet. When it is, I will bet that it will be more than some "local mentions a couple times an hour." It is very possible to do a 100% local show from another place. The point is that the SHOW is local, not the host. And is the station called NASH or NYCE?

Country stars aren't going to fly into NYC every day to guest on one radio show. They will be in Nashville. So why not do the interviews face to face, rather than long distance?

look up "Kevin and Bean"...would you call them "half syndicated"?
just having the studio in the DMA doesn't make the content local...or vice versa.
if you're connected...you're local. no one is broadcasting from a street corner.
