Blake takes the low road

From today's City Paper:

“We just look forward to possibly having an opportunity in this town to [join] a group that’s 100 percent committed to sports and doing things the right way,” [Fulton] said.

Burning bridges gets you nowhere and doesn't let you return anywhere. This is one lesson he obviously hasn't learned in the past three years.<P ID="signature">______________

Who would touch him locally? He'll have to go out of market.

Cheers to the City Paper for breaking, then following up on this story. In checking the news for more on this story this morning, I found the fresh article at nashvillecitypaper.com, but the Tennessean only mentioned this briefly under two items of lesser impact in their Media Insider column. Whatever their motive truly was, it made it look as though the Tennessean buried it because one of the hosts was one of their writers.

Now what of the other local show remaining on the Fan -- the recently started racing show on Tuesday nights?

Unless Blake Fulton is dining with a celebrity at some trendy restaurant, Brad Schmitt will not write about it. Third page coverage for a lame gossip column? Please. The Tennessean is nothing more than a local, transparent USA Today. Congrats to The City Paper, indeed.

Low road indeed....but has there ever been a line that began...."Blake takes the high road?" He knows nothing else... does the "right way" involve low ratings and lower revenue?

As far as I'm concerned, Blake's run in Nashville is over.

I doubt anybody wants to hire him at this point.

Maybe it's time he gets SIRIUS about his situation

My mistake. The title should have read "Blake takes the low road again."<P ID="signature">______________

It's a sad day for name-droppers everywhere. Their king was taken off the air.<P ID="signature">______________
