Blimp A to Z

Its seems 'BLM will soon be trotting out the old Music Library A-Z war horse. Usually this trick is reserved to hypo ratings, so what's prompting this humanitarian effort? Unless Birch is back in the market.

This begs the question: if an expanded library is successful at delivering big ratings, why don't they make it the norm? I was staring at my WBLM 102.9 coffee mug the other day and noticed the "25 Years of Rock and Roll" inscription. Sadly, it could accurately be stated "25 Years of THE SAME Rock and Roll"...

I personally will be waiting to see how many versions of "Who Do You Love" they play :-[

All I can see that the mighty Frank is doing to counter is the Memorial Day 500. And free groceries. And if you know me, free anything is good and hard to come by these days. I wonder if you can buy alcohol with free groceries... and how much Old Grand Dad could I buy? The liver wonders!

Anyhow, for those listening to A to Z, or as I call it, Anhueser-Busch to Zima, maybe post some of the more off-beat/ludicrous things they play right here in this thread.

Cheers,
OldPort Wino

Probably can't buy the booze with the gift certificates, but you need to think smart here and work the "trade angle".
Buy some steaks with your free groceries, then trade them to somebody for the booze. Is anyone else in the market doing any kind of promotion? I hear the free groceries thing on Frank and Wolf and I can't believe WPOR is giving away a $30 gift card to a CHAIN seafood restaurant (which is unfortunately sad since you can't spell and represent Portland without Red Lobster, Weathervane or Long John Silvers), but is there anything else of substance going on or are those days over?

for the pdr market - OKQ is giving away your choice of vehicle! pretty cool! not an insured promo.
