Today at 5pm I was shocked to hear YSP play a Blink 182 cut, correct me if I am wrong but this is the first time they played a Blink tune. A few people on this board mentioned YSP going more Modern/Alternative, I am not too sure about that, they seem to be adding more Harder Edge Metal cuts also. What does this all mean?? It would of been nice if they did this without making the change to daytime talk, or will they be all talk come the new year, and shift the format to WOGL. It will be an interesting January 2006.

What harder edged metal cuts are they playing? Anything by Slipknot, Pantera, or Slayer, for instance?

On Blink: Not surprised at all. They have been playing Fall Out Boy (who are basically Blink 182 had they gone to college instead of dropping out of high school) an awful lot.

Between the TRL-styled pop/punk and the harder stuff, it king of makes you wonder what audience they are trying to target - or if they are just trying to erode the audience to nothing so they can go talk 24/7. I certainly hope they plan on keeping the music programming, but with a little more focus - either Alternative or Active Rock, with plenty of currents (40 or more)
.

Disturbed, Slip, SOD, Queensryke, Poison, Danzig, Faster Pussycat, Skid Row, Hatebreed and more, plus the usual diet of Priest, Maiden, Metallica, Ozzy, AC/DC, and Crue. They still have the ban against T.S. since Dee was on their rival, which is stupid. I just wish they would unload that horrible Rap/Rock/Alternative they still shoot in, I am also sick of that wannabe Everlast.
