Blizzard report

It appears that all the AM and FM stations in the Hartford/Springfield area survived the blizzard without losing power, at least as of this AM. If any stations lost power, post it here!!

Clear Channel New Haven was off the air for 3 hours this morning according to Jim Masters's Facebook page. Once back on the air Jim did the Home Shopper show remotely via Phone because he was snowed in. He said computers were down and their were no commercials or theme music. (Clear Channel New Haven is also in Hamden where they got 40 inches!)

WPLR made a posting on their Facebook page that they've been stranded in the studios since Friday afternoon because no one plowed the parking lot of their studios in Milford. They were calling for anyone with a plow to come and get them out. They got 38.3 inches!

Did they at least give listeners money or concert tickets in exchange for plowing them out?

I am happy to report that WIHS remained on the air throughout! Thanks to the dedication of three of our employees: Neil Knudsen, Paul Kretschmer, and Peter Daly. They overnighted and "tag-teamed" their airshifts from Friday straight through to Sunday!! KUDOS, FRIENDS!! :)

Yes, WIHS is a stand-alone station, and is live-manned 24/7/365!
