Is "WRKO" moving to 97.7?dhoule said:Perhaps, 680 with RKO moving to 97.7
I also hope this happens, because there are way so many "Rock & Roll" music radio stations around. "WRKO" has "Bloomberg" on Saturday nights for an hour. That would be cool if they did that, put "Bloomberg" on 680 (24/7), and put "WRKO" current programming on 97.7tvradiogeek said:Hopefully waaf gets the ax and cuts the simulcast and puts wrko on fm.
Joseph_Gallant said:More likely: Either WBNW-1120 (which already airs some Bloomberg programming) will air more of it, or Bloomberg is going to buy a station in the Boston area.
Joseph_Gallant said:Because 97.7 doesn't reach as large an area as 680, I can't see WRKO abandon AM for FM.
However, I can see Entercom "blow up" WAAF, with 107.3 becoming an WEEI simulcast (which will mean a better signal for WEEI programming in Central Massachusetts and Metrowest; this would also allow 1440 in Worcester to go 24/7 ESPN Radio) and 97.7 simulcasting WRKO, with the latter staying at 680 on AM.
In fact, I'm surprised Entercom hasn't done this already.

No.
WEI would be on both 93.7 and 107.3, with WRKO simulcast on 680 and 97.7, while WAAF would leave analog radio.
