BLOOMBERG TV: COMCAST PUTS US IN THE NOSE BLEED CABLE SECTION

Not here in Denver.....

While CNBC is on Channel 46 here's the channel lineup affecting Bloomberg......

128 - BLOOMBERG
129 - MSNBC (Simulcast of Channel 65)
130 - Fox Business Network (A bit of Karma? :D )

BTW, before somebody brings it up, here's where you can find the C-SPAN channels.....

98 - C-SPAN
169 - C-SPAN 3
170 - C-SPAN 2

Don't ask me why C-SPAN 2 & C-SPAN 3 are inverted in the channel lineup as I have no clue. It does baffle me though.....

Cheers :D

Didn't The Tennis Channel file a similar complaint with Comcast? It seems that all these niche cable channels that most people wouldn't watch are trying to make the most of the NBC-Comcast merger by putting the blame on their low viewership numbers on the fact that Comcast puts channels in programming packages that they belong in.

In Stockton, California, CNBC is on Channel 18 while Bloomberg & FBN are on the same channels that you mentioned (channel 128 for the former & 130 for the latter). And C-Span is on channel 15, C-Span 2 is on Channel 16 & C-Span 3 is on channel 110.

62 versus 189? No contest. (Cox Phoenix)

That said, some of Bloomberg's European-overnight programs are quite good. A refreshing alternative to watching American news.

Difference is that CNBC was on analog cable. All those other channels mentioned started on digital cable except C-SPAN 2, it was moved up above 100. The analog bandwith was used up. At some point, maybe Comcast will rearrange its lineup of all the former analog channels to group all the news/business stations, children's stations, sports, etc all together. When Fios started out, only the broadcast stations were on analog cable. All those stations that were on analog cable were put on digital when FiOS started out so they are grouped together. I know on the Comcast headend out of Cherry Hill, NJ, Nick has never moved off of channel 33 and CNN has never moved off of 32. They're still there even though the rest of the Nick channels are up in the 130s on the Xfinity lineup in the Philly area. When cable started, we had 36 channels, 2-37.

Didn't Bloomberg TV many years ago have airtime on the USA Network? If I memory is good, I think they were also on certain broadcast stations with packaged 1/2 hr. daily programs as well. Perhaps Comcast should remind them they can go that route, if they want more exposure.

Thing is that channel has a case as it's still not on Comcast here in Denver despite places for them to put it

Cheers :D

Yes 2 both comments. It was on USA for several years. Then when its contract ran out it ran on E! for a few years. There was a 1/2 hour block that aired on broadcast stations too. In Hartford, CT it was on WTXX Channel 20 (now WCCT-TV) out of Waterbury.
