Bloomberg TV no longer on E!

It used to be on USA Network back in the day I remember. I don't understand why cable companies don't just put Bloomberg TV on regular cable instead of digital cable. Its just stock information news.

A few reasons.... 1) cable companies have to pay Bloomberg per subscriber [more subscribers on basic, more money] 2) Bloomberg doesn't have any demand from cable customers 3) putting Bloomberg on basic would displace more popular channels.

Time Warner put two channels that were digital on regular cable those two being Noggin and VH-1 Classic.

Most likely Time Warner was forced by the owner, Viacom, to carry theses channels in order to continue to carry their more popular networks like MTV, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon.

I believe those modifications are a result of the recent near-blackout of Viacom-owned channels on Time Warner cable systems.

Getting back to the topic at hand...

Didn't Bloomberg lease their time on E!, and USA Network before it?

Not to talk about those two channels again as this is about Bloomberg TV. But Time Warner moved VH-1 Classic and Noggin on regular cable (early summer) before the problem happened last month.

As for Bloomberg TV are they looking for another network to get time on?
