Blue Ribbon Winners at the Fair!

Talk about an exciting start to fall for us folks up here on the farm in Sharon! My big girlfriend at cc and I have been keepin’ track of all the fun. And I must say this week at the State Fair in Rutland has been a promising week…ah-yea! Wanda and her cow-pokes from Castleton grabbed up the blue ribbon for the cattle competition and good old Rick did it with the Maple Sugarin' from his place in Granville! After this weekend we head to Tunbridge for the worlds fair. I hope to be lookin’ for you near the tilt-a-whirl, and I do hope my manly-man Bud Hill can make it! They'll be havin' the bicep curlin' competition you tiger...Wink-wink!! Don’t forget to keep your fingers and nine-toes crossed for your Mary! ;) The boys and I will be in the dairy show on Thursday at 10, along with several breeds on display…Ayrshire, Holstein, Brown Swiss & Dutch Belted… Plus this year they’ll be given out ribbons with dairy trivia questions…Hot-Dog!! Should be a bunch of fun! Speakin' of fun...I was able to catch a little of the ol’ Emmy’s coverage with Joan and Melissa ‘horse-faced’ Rivers on TV guide the other night, and I say it sure makes a girl think about local stars and where they placed this year. So you guessed it! My big girlfriend at cc and I put together a little list of the players right here in the upper valley!! Woo-Hoo!!

Best of (On Air) 06’
Doug McKenzie (Talk about improvement, what are puttin' in the water in Lebanon!??)
Bev Valentine (What a personality…put her with that McKenzie in the morning!...Meow!!)
Jason & Traci (Still keepin' their listeners entertained for almost 7 years! Jumpin' Thunder!)
Mike Barrett (What a hottie... I just love his pipes, and the way he says ‘country’ Grrrrr!)

Worst of (On Air) 06’
Doug Welldone (Boring! Lame! Terrible! Worst voice ever…Try to keep the mic off, please.)
Shep Sutton (Needs a board-op…sloppy performance…although, I do love that trivia... ;) )
Bob ‘Max’ Cady (Learn to get the name of the station right, nice break yesterday…Come on!)
RJ Crowley (Where to begin -let’s try elementary school –vocal quality of a three year old…)
Michelle Stevens (Rosie is on the View now! Wait, isn’t Ellen on during that timeslot?)

Biggest (Radio) Losers
Mike Lindsey (Former Wolf morning show host…Quit Nassau…)
Chris Garrett (Quit Nassau…)
Heath Cole (Fired by Nassau…)
Dru Johnson (J.T.) (Quit Nassau after Heath was fired…)
Brian Ryea (Fired by Nassau…)
Bob Frisch (Fired by Nassau…)
AJ Wood (Fired by Nassau…)

[EDIT]

Biggest Money Makers
Former VOX Partners (Still counting all that coin…and smiling…)

Biggest Winners
Eric McDonald (new head of programming for The Coast, and future Bob Neil…)

Well we hope those who didn’t make our list, will work hard to make it next time!!! For now I must get back to the mid-way…The boys and I are plannin’ to spend the afternoon out and about near the presidents buildin’ –we might make it to the Red Moon Saloon later tonight too… You know I do love to shake it on the dance floor! Yee-Haw!

Ms. Mary ;)

[EDIT=ad hominem attack]

Nicely done as always, Mary....

I'm more charitable than you on Shep - agree he needs some work, but he's come along over his time in the area and has been the one stable sound on a ship adirft.

And, you name-checked Bob Neil - very nice!

Take care of the folks in Tunbridge.
