Recently a used car salesperson type from BMI has called about rate increases. Unknown to a station their rates were raised. First knowledge was a collection call a few months ago.
Some schools have gotten increases others have not. Is there a way to dispute the fees outside of a Court Hearing? Why do some schools receive the old rate and some are being asked to pay a higher non school rate?
When asked BMI indicated school stations were exempt from the increase. Providing this information and a list of schools BMI still wanted more. BMI wants a personal letter from the Department of Education noting acceptance as a school. The Dept Of Education indicates they don't do this, they provide a listing on their website.
When asked what documents other schools have provided BMI says it is confidential but none of the other schools have provided this.
Another point is that some Corporations include their entire Corporation staff when EEO reporting others do not. BMI indicates that even though another entity is Licensee they attach the school stations to a different Corporation in cases where there are different entities.
