koke-am and ktxz-am been sold to jose garcia,

José J. García has acquired the assets of Spanish religious KELG-AM (La Luz), talk KOKE-AM, and Spanish oldies KTXZ-AM (La Lupe) from Border Media Partners for $5.5 million. Final acquisition is pending FCC approval.

The transaction was brokered by Patrick McNamara at American Media Services.

I recently heard and read that Bmp had sold a few of their AM stations in the Austin Market what do you know about the new Owner? anyone have a number?

were sold to jose j. garcia who used to own them.: sold them to amigo broadcasting and they operated them for a couple of years and then sold them to bmp. jose j garcia company name was dynamic broadcasting, that with kelg ,kklb, ktxz and kfon for around 1979 or 1980 to 2004 or 2005. i don't remembered how much he sold those stations to amigo broadcasting. koke came around 2004 has a religious station that didn't last to long and eventually was amigo broadcasting bought from bernard evangelical ministeries.

i was wondering if anyone has a phone number to reach this new owner? has the Fcc aproved the sell yet?

The sale was just announced... it may not even be filed at the FCC or, if it is, it was filed in the last few days. Transfers can take upwards of 90 days... if the FCC has any questions, longer. Since this is a de-consolidation in a sense, it ought to move quickly.
