Sad to hear the news this morning(6/2) that we've lost one of the founding fathers of Rock N' Roll, Bo Diddley. He was a major influence on many artists during Rock's early years, including Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, The Rolling Stones, & The Yardbirds. He will be sorely missed. :'(

Yes, a sad day for the rock 'n roll world. Everyone who has come since owes him a great debt. Thanks for all the great music Bo. Rest in Peace.

God speed, Bo. :'(

God Bless Bo Diddley-It's sad to watch the legends slip away...

Whenever I listen to "I Want Candy" by The Strangeloves or The Yardbirds 60s remake of "I'm A Man" "Willie and The Hand Jive" by Johnny Otis and "Born to Hand Jive" from Grease with Danny and Sandy cuttin' the rug I will always have Bo in my prayers for his repose. This rocker didn't die tragically from an overdose or a in a plane or car wreck..he went peacefully like his brother in the blues John Lee Hooker did in 2001.

We lost another rock pioneer just like we lost Wolfman Jack or another vintage Top 40 or oldies station or another drive-in theater.

(sob!)

Eternal rest grant upon Bo dear Lord and let the perpetual light shine upon him.
