Bo Griffin Passes Away

Freddie Cruz closed his show tonight talking about Bo, about how they used to work together at Hot 105. She was very good on the air. She was part of the hey days of Power 96 in the 80s and 90s as "the Party Animal" and then when she moved to mornings.

I'm curious to hear what Laz says tomorrow morning.

I wish Power's female jocks would look to her, much like Wendy Williams in her day, as a prime example of how to perform on the air. She was the epitome of personality on South Florida radio.

A marvelous personality and a very pleasant person with whom to work. It's hard to think of someone as full of life as she was leaving us, and much too soon.

I was listening to The Joe Castello Show when he made this announcement.

This is truly startling.

I remember listening to her on Power 96 back in the mid/late 90s when I lived in Miami.

My condolences to her family and friends.

She was extremely talented and so full of life. Such a shame she's gone now. Based on what I've read she discovered she had cancer LAST MONTH, and died of intestinal cancer.

R.I.P. Bo, you will be missed.

Bo Griffin also had a morning show on WSPA-FM in Greenville, SC for a year and a half or so. It didn't do well, so that may be the reason it wasn't mentioned. However, as mentioned on the SC board, that wasn't necessarily her fault.

RIP, Bo. You will be missed.

I was actually helping program a station in the building when she was there. One talented lady, that's for sure. RIP, Bo.
