Bo Griffin passes

After reading this article, I found it interesting that they did not mention her upstate radio job. She was at WJMZ then had that show at 98.9 from 2005 - ~2007. Could that be because her Magic show, well, just flopped?

i agree. i would not want a total failure to be mentioned in my obituary either. i believe the blame there is on tom durney and not bo. she was one thing and the rest of the station was something else. recipe for disaster. she passed way too soon.

No doubt about 51 is waaay too young...but having said that, the show on 98.9 was a turkey.

You can blame the GM, but the content was stuff Oprah wouldn't use but aimed at the same demo.

Losing the show was fine, losing her not so much.

I think there is enough fault there to go around with the Bo Griffin issue. I'm guessing Bo was just doing her job, but her morning show was just not a fit for 98.9. Wasn't she called "Oprah on the radio"....sorry, that's a disaster. Durney and co. didn't make many wise decisions. Mornings have been no good there since Rick and Kimberly.

However, I'd take Bo Griffin's show and Magic 98.9 the way it sounded back then over now. Their "PD" is a joke...what a whacked music clock (am I the only one that notices how odd the music scheduling is?).

As a side note; there is a tribute page for Bo on Magic's website. http://magic989online.com/pages/6399397.php?

I had no idea that Bo had passed... What was the cause??? The Greenville News article isn`t pulling up. Was she ill??? She was a nice lady and in the Mid 2000`s was even on some national talk shows. She actually was considered by Barbara Walters to take Star Jones place around 2004! I can`t believe that she is gone...
