Board change? Format different? What's wrong here?

This board has died. I'm not sure what happened, is it the new format? The one new thread started by someone else I can't even read, but I don't know if it's a bug or something else. San Diego still has radio stations, anyone have anything to post at all? ???

The anal moderators of the old board left and apparently those who enjoyed being abused by them left also. I have no idea what their new forum is, but the people who were "legal" owners of this site basically killed it to save it. They won the battle but lost the war. It's one of those things where well-meaning parents got involved in something for which they were very unqualified and, no matter how noble their intentions, they screwed up their son's legacy and pissed off his friends. sad.... One thing, though, you can be candid and not worry about being banned, because it's not like you're losing access to something worthwhile. I actually did pop in on the old admins' new site and and it suffered from the same petty powerplays of the pitiful moderators who used to be here: you could tell these were life's losers whose only chance at being charge of anything was as forum moderators and they simply could not - and still cannot - resist the temptation to abuse even that very, very small amount of power. So basically, what we need is a whole new radio broadcasting forum that leaves all of these folks - legal owners, childish modeators, etc. - behind.Other that, I'm very happy with the transition.

Thanks for the info Bob, I don't even know where or what the other site is. I agree with you that the old moderators were pretty dopey, I think radio-info used to be the most over-moderated forum I've ever been on. For awhile I thought everyone was going to have to start speaking in code language to say anything about any station or personality. However, now everything has dried up! I don't know if it's because the old moderators left or just the new format or what. On the main forum I read a few messages where who ever is now running the site believes that they still have the same level of traffic as before the change. I find that hard to believe, especially in the San Diego forum. How does radio-info make any money? There's no ads that I can see and there's no charge of any kind to be here. I guess I'm surprised that there was any kind of "battle" over the site since there doesn't appear to be any money in it (unless I'm missing something).

Everyone is welcome at the new San DIego Radio and Television Open Forum.Click here to visit. No registration required to participate.

What's funny is that on the old forum, they specifically posted that linking to another forum was prohibited, which I, of course, thought was stupid. I'll be happy to check out the new forum, it can't be any more dead than this one.
