Thanks, Mike, for the welcoming praise. Like anything else, it takes tragedy or a major event to awaken the slumbering board from either stiffling heat or minus 10 temps, with minus 20 Wind Chills.
It's probably the first issue since the 1996 Telecommunications Act that's clearly struck a nerve with both records and radio. It can affect Everyone, regardless of employer or career level, thus the heated and poignant debates and bantering. While it's not getting 'War on Terror' coverage, it's on pretty much all of the popular news sites, both in and out of the industry.
