Board Ops

Probably not enough. They can make or break a show.

Kris LoPresto..."K-Lo" to most of his fans...is the Morning Drive board-op at Air America's flagship WLIB-AM. Kris board ops, does voices, sets up bits, does characters and provides a damned fine live laugh track while generally keeping that assorted crew of "Morning Sedition" crazy guys moving along at a brisk pace. He was on vacation last week and the show moved at half the usual pace.

Guess in general? $40k to $60k for a good Board Op fulltime...plus bennies/perqs.

Your experience may vary.

In a conversation about good board ops, you bring up the notorious "Dead Air" Dumpy Lopresto!?!?

Of course, that was a long time ago, but still. Good times, good times.

Kris remembers you with fondness, too. He asks if you're still known as "Skid-Striped Calvins"? :)

Actually, I never met Kris, so I'm not sure what that reference is about. The "good times" reference is how Ron and Fez destroyed him mercilessly for letting WNEW go dead for 40 minutes.
