Bob and the Showgram/G105 Mornings Speculations

just curious, any news on what is going on with "Madison Lane" is now?

I never really thought about it until now, but, being from Person County where she got her start, I wonder if she chose the radio persona of "Madison Lane" from Roxboro's own "Madison Boulevard"? ???

As far as I am concerned, Bob Dumas is an embarrasment to the radio world. He is loud and obnoxious. His stunts are usually stupid, childish, and sometimes dangerous..ie Fatman trying to board airplane at RDU airport without boarding pass.

I am glad about choices. I choose not to listen to his rantings, Clear Channel should have chosen to take him off of radio years ago!!

One problem with taking away the Showgram, despite how crazy they are: In April, we got a taste of what will happen to G105 should the Showgram ever be cancelled. They were suspended for three days following that incident with that off-color joke about the fiancee of one of the interns; Randi West took over during those three days, and there basically was no morning show during that time. All Randi did was sit back and take music requests. Don't get me wrong; I like Randi West; she's funny, but she's no morning girl. Stay tuned...

It amazes me how jealous people can be of someones success. Face it, everyone who hates this guy is probably doing traffic somewhere and is angry because they never worked their butt off to get to a position such as Bob did. You just wanted everything handed to you and always said "Poor me, everyone is wrong and I am right why do I never get a promotion...etc..."

Face the facts, the guy is successful because he is smart, and works hard to get what he wants in the business. Also making sure he surrounds himself with a good team of people who really want it just as much as he did when he was in their position.


Grow up, get over yourselves, and don't you have to be doing a traffic report by now?

THANK YOU! I'm glad someone finally started acting like a grown up and not a jealous 15 year old girl at the homecoming dance! The topic of the thread had nothing to do with if you like him. It was about the stunt. NO ONE CARES IF YOU DON'T LIKE HIM. Especially Bob or anyone around him. The numbers don't lie. He slaughters EVERYONE in ratings. And you know why he makes more than all the other jocks combined? Because he brings in more $ than all of them combined! His listeners love him and will go nowhere else. And if Bob ever left G105, they'd take a hit, sure. But Randi West wouldn't move to mornings, she'd find another winner. That's what she does. (ex. Geller)
