Bob Barker Coming Back to TPIR?

According to New York Daily News...

There is a chance...

http://www.nydailynews.com/entertai..._bob_barker_may_not_be_retiring_just_yet.html

In Summary From the Article:

"After 35 years as the host of "The Price Is Right," Bob Barker hung up his microphone for good on Wednesday. Or did he?

After taping his last show, the 83-year-old icon said he would happily return to the "Price" stage if a replacement host isn't found by the time the new season starts in the fall.

"They're having trouble finding someone to do the show," Barker told reporters during a post-show press conference. "And I've told members of the staff here that ... if they wanted me to do it for a few more months, I would do it."

I knew something was up ... I wasn't sure what, but I smelled something rotten in the air.

This far along, and the network is still "undecided" about his successor .... and nothing mentioned about a new host on Bob's last taping. Funny how he didn't mention coming back until AFTER the last show -- my guess Bob didn't want to dilute the attention/tributes/praise/adoration given him for his "final" appearance.

Bob's announced his retirement. He received his big send-off. He should go into the sunset and let CBS and Fremantle handle the succession issue. If nobody has been named by later this Summer, then continue with repeats. To even publicly consider an immediate comeback after all this hoopla only confirms his narcissist ego.

Recently I posted in a similar thread that I felt Bob Barker wanted TPIR to go down without him. I stand by my opinion. :-(
