Bob Barker doesn't want to be replaced

In an interview with the Toronto Sun last week, Bob Barker stated that he does not want someone else to replace him on TPIR in order that he may continue to be paid for the airing of reruns.

Now, in the same interview, he brought up the subject that I and a few others have mentioned recently, and that is Rosie. According to Bob, "Rosie O'Donnell wants the show, but I don't think they're considering a woman." So if Bob doubts it'll happen, then I highly doubt it'll happen.

Finally, what happens to his trademark signoff? Dr. Phil is going to start telling viewers to "help control the pet population, have your pets spayed or neutered".

As I have pointed out before, they have already rejected Rosie O'Donnell, and were down to three hosts, Rosie not included.

According to someone at goldenroad.net, The Sun has taken the above statement out of context -- what Bob said was only a joke. There may be a possibility that the 36th season may be delayed until October, in order to give CBS more time finding the new host, and giving him time to show the ropes.
