Bob Barker's last show?

When is Bob Barker's las appearance as the host of The Price Is Right and will it be at the normal time or in Prime Time?

Nothing has been announced yet, but CBS is planning a prime time tribute to Bob. This more then likely won't be his last show though, that will probably be on daytime. Bob will tape his last show on June 6th, so the airing should be within a couple of months after that date.

Sounds like they may do something during the May sweeps!

They've been running quite a few auditions for new hosts with live studio audiences. These shows don't air though and the audience does not win any of the prizes. People who have auditioned are:

David Price (CBS Early Show weatherman)
Todd Newton (Host of several past game shows)
Doug Davidson (from Young and the Restless, and host of a short lived syndicated Price in 1994.
John O'Hurley (currently hosting Family Feud)

And scheduled to audition on March 12th are:

George Hamilton
Mario Lopez
Mike Richards (from Beauty and the Geek)

Thankfully, no Seacrest yet!

Unfortunately, I haven't received a call back ;)

Mr. Speaker, I order the previous question:

Answer: June 15, 2007 at the regular Price time - in most markets, 10 AM local (11 am ET).

ANYBODY but him. ANYBODY.

TPIR will be gone in four months flat if they let him host.

Couldn't disagree more. He knew the games, showed enthusiasm and related to the contestants--more so than Bob has perhaps in recent years.

You seem to know how he did? So these auditions have actually been aired then?
I am not home during that hour (thankfully), is there you tube video of these?

No, I meant how he did with the 1994 syndicated edition. Apologies for any unintended confusion.

Granted, everthing found on www.wikipedia.com should be taken with a few grains of salt...

But I found this on the page for Marc Summers, who currently hosts "Unwrapped" on the Food Network:

"Summers has hosted stage versions of The Price is Right and credits Bob Barker and The Price is Right for helping him pursue a game show career. It is widely speculated that Summers is a candidate to take over the show's hosting duties in 2007. Summers was a young page at CBS when The Price is Right premiered with The Joker's Wild and Gambit in 1972..."

I've heard that Bob will be spaying Barker's Beauties during the Showcase for May sweeps. :p ;D

Will Bob announce who will be the new host of The Price Is Right during the last day that he hosts The Price Is Right in June or on the prime time special?

My vote right off to be the new host would be John O'Hurley. He is very funny on Family Feud and he would be right at home on Price Is Right.

That would be my choice too, of those listed above. He's got a great personality without being one of those obnoxious, over-the-top gameshow hosts.

Well, if Feud gets cancelled, perhaps that will happen.
I'd much rather see feud stick around though.

I'm a Todd Newton fan myself. He'd also make a great host for TPIR

Feud isn't going to be cancelled. I believe they'll be Feudin' into next year with a new syndicator and everything.

I'd really like to see Marc Summers get a crack at the gig, but I'd settle for Todd.

I'd like to see either Marc or Todd get the gig. I really wish CBS would have had Todd host last summer's "Game$how Marathon" just to see how he would have done hosting TPiR on there. BTW, I wonder if that series will return this summer.
