Sad news for all who knew Bob Bishop, who's been the PM driver at Country Legends 107.3 in Baton Rouge for the past several years. Bob has passed away of a heart attack at the age of 46.

He's been a mainstay in the BR market for decades, having done mass quantities of traffic reports, morning show shenanigans and management of production. He'll be greatly missed.

Words really cannot convey what a loss this is. Bob brought depth, character, creativity and commitment to every project he accepted. He was really a shy person (in my assessment) but the world who only listened believed they knew him, as did we all. I know this - my years in Louisiana radio were enhanced and encouraged by the man I knew as Bob Bishop. I believe that tonight his spirit abides in Eternity. Thanks Bob for sharing that spirit with us!

What a loss to country music listeners. Bob was always a big smile that come across the air waves to our homes, businesses and autos. He always treated me like I was the Star when calling in to the radio stations. I will miss him dearly.

Just one of the Piglets,

Truly a sad loss for his friends, his family, and his fans! Bob was always quick with the wit and smile and always could make you laugh. Yet he was a serious friend when you needed someone to talk too. He was a unique spirit, and the same guy both in front of and behind the mic. He will be missed! I really enjoyed my days of following him on 100.7 just a few years back...now all those fun conversations are treasured moments.

NO FRIKIN' WAY!! That is indeed sad news! Bob and I worked WYNK for years doing traffic. My condolences to friends and family and the BTR radio gang. He was always a welcome friend to any listener who had the privelege of hearing his voice.
