I know where Bob Coker is!
I know you posted this 3 years ago, but still.
Bob Coker, who did indeed once own and operate KKEL & KPER in Hobbs, NM is now in Clovis, NM, where he is the Sales Manager and Operator of KTQM (Top 40) & KWKA (Spanish)!
These stations are currently under the Zia Broadcasting umbrella with several other stations, owned by Lonnie Allsup, most well known for an almost exclusively NM-based chain of gas stations/convenience stores.
He currently lives in a house directly behind the radio station with his wife and his grandson!

Is this the same Bob Coker that used to be a voice on a national newscast? Don't remember which network, but remember the name. If it is the same I was always impressed with his delivery.
