Kudos for Bob Costas.
Edited by The_Outsider on 08/20/05 05:00 AM.

Thank you, Mr. Costas! I don't want to hear about this "story" anymore either.

Just let me know when you find her or her body. Don't know that I need daily updates.
______________

Along wih Fox and MSNBC. Fox, especially, continues its bottom feeding attempts to keep alive a running commentary that is no longer a story. That fact is reinforced every time one of the "news" organizations leads a segment with "nothing new from Aruba today." They should tell us when news happens and cease the interminable prattle. Bob Costas gave CNN the message quite clearly.

What of the Andy Cooper promise posted here a couple days ago? Has the Holloway story been grandfathered in, and therefore still a "missing white girl" story?

And in other news, Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead.

Fox should quit hiring old SNL writers out of retirement. Thing is, no one at Fox is old enough to remember the Chevy Chase recurring liner gags, so they think the Franco bit would be new material.

good for you, Bob Costas!

This "story" is right up there with Laci Petersen as being a non-story.
No way either story should have ever been covered outside of their local area.
These are NOT national stories. My sympathies to the families involved, however.
I can't imagine that any news director worth his/her salt would have EVER aired these stories. A sad state of affairs for the news business...
