Bob Fescoe to KFNS OUCH!!!

Wow, KC's luck will soon be St. Louis's misery...

Bob Fescoe from KC's 50,000 watt flamethrower 810 WHB will soon be the new morning guy on KFNS's "Morning Grind" (or something like that). KC has a HUGE sports talk audience and the on-going soap opera of personnel moves is endlessly debated on message boards and in the local media. Fescoe, by far, is the least liked on-air personality on a great line-up on WHB. He will not be missed...

What was KFNS thinking with this move?

Fescoe is truly a blowhard bore as you will soon find out. Public opinion is running about 50-1 how wonderful this will be for KC morning drivetime listeners.
 
If you are a sports radio fan in KC, it's a great week. First Doug Franz leaves, then Bob Fescoe. Plus KC now has a FM ESPN Radio affiliate.
 
Franz was pretty much a non-entity--no one will notice he's gone.

However,this is huge for 810 WHB--they're already strong line-up just got stronger by subtraction.

The bigger question for me is how do guys like Fescoe and Franz get jobs with their track records of failure (Franz) and universal dislike (Fescoe)?

I guess the answer to that is only KC knows to dislike him?

St Louis is a weird market. Our sports talk is lame, there isn't any competition the various sports shows pretend like they are the only product, guys aren't that knowledgable and the majority are afraid to be even a little negative but KFNS already has a blowhard type dude in the evening drive who is equally hated as liked so maybe they figure they can do it in the morning.
