No more smooth jazz, it was dance last night. ??? Strange format to go with the main station, then I guess jazz sort of was too.

Mhh, interesting choice for BOB's HD2. I'll check it out as soon as I get back into town. What artists are they currently playing? Is the playlist diverse? or can it be better?jras20 said:beaun said:No more smooth jazz, it was dance last night. ??? Strange format to go with the main station, then I guess jazz sort of was too.
I heard that also, but it still said Jazz on my radio.
Edit: They are calling themselves Mega!
It' sounds like the old Mega 933.
Hope it works!

And Emmis probably has continued to get requests for dance in Austin. I for one may actually get a digital radio just because of this station. After Mega changed to Hot 93.3 I got myself Sirius.
I was thinking the same thing. I taught it was the the kbps on the file you recorded, but then again, I record my HD airchecks at 128 as well, so it has to be the station.jras20 said:JDawg512 said:Im not really surprised at this. I think almost every city is going to have a lot of dance fans around. I think the dance format will work good on HD-2 channels, I think the sound quality could be a little better, but it sounds good. Never the less, I'm glad to see dance back in Austin.
The thing about adding an HD3 channel is that the quality of the audio will go back down to (around) FM quality. I can tell the audio difference here in Houston of KKBQ's HD channels and KHPT's HD. Pat Fm sounds a lot better than Texas Country 92.9 HD2 because KKBQ also carries Country Legends on KKBQ 92.9 HD3.jras20 said:If you want Jazz it's on KUT HD-3
Personally I like Jazz better than Smooth Jazz. I think they should change Soft Rock's HD-2 to a Fresh format. Maybe put Jazz on HD-3.
