Well, someone just posted it on Facebook.

Their mistake, and now yours. Bottom line: Check the URL and the article itself before spreading the "news" somewhere else. One or both will usually provide an indication of when the story originated. In this case, the date is right after the writer's byline.

I get those anniversary feeds, too (I'm guessing that that is what it was), but I just read them, and then go on. I don't repost unless it is of interest.
