Bob Grant-"Got Your Attention"

Got Your Attention!

October 4, 2012

"Yesterday I wrote a column that made it appear this was to be my last Sunday on WABC. It was a mistake. It was not my last show. I wanted to get your attention since last week so many of you didn’t know I was only one hour. I got your attention but I upset a lot of people. I have had a lot of practice upsetting people. But, enough about me and that erroneous message."

I think WABC told Bob that they would be turning his two hour show into a one hour show, and Bob said that he would retire, because he's been ill. Then he decided to stay. Then he reconsidered, and thought that he's too legendary to only be hosting a one hour a week show. Finally, he changed his mind again, and agreed to do the one hour so he could remain on the air a little.

Maybe he'll wait until after the election before ultimately deciding to retire for good? If in his heart that's the direction he wants to go, perhaps waiting until after a Presidential election is the way to go.
