Bob Hannah on WBCN?

Over the weekend I heard former WAAF DJ Bob Hannah on ZLX and was a little confused. Then I hear him tonight on WBCN? When did he leave AAF, and was he fired, or did he choose to leave?

As a side note I thought programmer Dave O'Brien did a terrible job on the night shift, and am thankful he know longer gets air time. He had no presence and never said anything remotely interesting or funny.

So what is AAF doing for nights now, maybe friend of the board Neaderpaul can come back get the gig ;D

He definitely did not CHOOSE to leave nor did the PD want him to leave. Basically the suits at Entercom pulled the plug. That happened maybe 3 months ago and shortly thereafter, CBS radio picked him up for weekends and the swing shift. Music Director DAN (not Dave) O'Brien is STILL doing nights on 'BCN and I agree, not the most intriguing jock on the dial. You will hear Hannah filling in for him on occasion.

As far as what 'AAF is doing for nights, it's in jukebox mode (like the station down the hall 93.7 Mike-FM) with a board op manning the controls. I've been told that once the economy (and Entercom) recovers from the recession, there will be someone LIVE & local on the 'AAF airwaves at night once again but I'm not holding my breath. Also, I don't personally know Paul Marshall but I understand he is doing just fine working for Entercom's KQRC 98.9FM The Rock in K.C. doing PM Drive. Doubtful he would be back on the 'AAF airwaves at night. Ya never know though . . .

Well, sending VTs from KC to Boston shouldn't be a big deal and wouldn't take an inordinate amount of Paul's time.

Except that Paul only has one rock choice here (AAF) - unless, of course, he wants to do semi-rock (Mix 104) or classic rock (ZLX only - ROR has no one after L&W).

Not a regular ROR listener but I think Julie Deveraux and Tom Doyle do afternoon drive weekdays.
